Local news sources say that police responded to two fatal motorcycle accidents last week in Los Angeles, California that occurred within hours of each other. Both accidents are still under investigation and the names of the victims have yet to be released to the public. The first motorcycle accident took place around 9 a.m. last Sunday on a westbound freeway. It appears as though the motorcyclist lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a side rail next to a bike trail. A Sig Alert was scheduled for that section of the road while police investigated the scene. The coroner pronounced the biker dead at the scene but could not reveal his identity.
Nearly five hours later, a second accident took the life of one rider and injured another. The exact location of the motorcycle accident has not been released, but it is supposed to have happened near a series of tunnels before Highway 39.
