Overpass to Reopen Following Explosive Truck Accident

After a large-scale tanker truck accident, transportation officials in Southern California reported that an overpass had to be reconstructed and will become available to the public again soon. The Paramount Boulevard overpass, on State Route 60, was destroyed after the truck exploded into flames badly burning the roadway. This stretch of road is expected to reopen on Monday just five months after the crash occurred.
Once the truck accident took place, a fire burned for hours on end. The flames forced crews to shut down a 10 mile stretch of the freeway just east of Los Angeles, California. According to officers with the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the collision may have resulted from faulty truck maintenance. Therefore, the company that owns and operates the truck may be facing criminal charges in the near future pending final investigation results. Were you harmed during a truck accident in L.A.?
