A party ended with sixteen people being brought to area hospitals in Catalonia last week. The victims were at an event for a Formula One team racer when something went seriously wrong. The group was posing with Pastor Maldonado, the winner of the Spanish Grand Prix, when a fire broke out. At least sixteen people were injured, one of whom had to be airlifted to a nearby hospital. Ten more were treated for minor injuries caused by smoke inhalation while five more victims received varying degrees of burns. Several team employees were treated at a medical center, one of whom sustained a minor hand injury.
