Father and Son Injured when Riding Golf Cart

In Conroe, Texas, a father and son were out bonding on the River Plantation golf course, with no idea of the pain that awaited them. When driving their rental golf cart through the course, an accident caused the vehicle to speed off of a bridge. The father, son, and vehicle tumbled into rocks below in a waterless creek. The bridge was approximately 30 feet above the rocky bed. The Montgomery County Sherriff's Office says that the accident happened late Sunday. The 36-year-old father was critically injured, and the son only suffered minor injuries. Currently, the father is being treated at a hospital. Investigators believed that one of the golf cart's wheels slipped off of a track and then when the father overcorrected the vehicle went through a guardrail.
Chances are that when the father recovers from his injuries the family will litigate. The country club could have prevented the accident by making sure that the vehicle was working properly. Also, the bridge is a hazard which can seriously injure drivers. On most golf courses, children over a certain age are allowed to operate the vehicle with supervision, regardless of whether or not they have their driver's license. This can also pose a dangerous threat. If you were involved in a situation like this, then contact a personal injury attorney in Los Angeles. We can help you to seek damages.
